Following Microsoft's launch of GPT-4-based chatbots in its Edge browser, Opera followed Edge, integrating a generative AI chatbot based on ChatGPT and ChatSonic into its desktop in the latest version 97.0.4719.26, Early access is available on all desktop platforms in the browsers Opera and Opera GX.

According to Keyingo, Opera has also introduced a feature that allows users to generate AI prompts by highlighting or typing text on the website.
