How to use the Remote Desktop Connection on Windows 11

First all , you need the Windows 11 Pro version, Windows 11 Home does not provide the function for remote Desktop !

Here are the steps to use the Remote Desktop on Windows 11 Pro :

On the remote PC

1, Select Setting - System- Remote Desktop, then select “Enable the Remote Desktop”, and Confirm the remote PC user name and you can add the remote desktop users who can remotely access this PC


2, Then Search Firewall and select "Allow an app through Windows Firewall", then select the Remote Desktop and Remote Desktop (WebSocket), and make them all checked !


3, Use command line, type IPconfig , find the IP of the remote PC

 

On the local PC
Please search the "Remote Remote Connection", select it , and then input the IP of the remote PC to connect from your local PC, it will ask you for the user name and password of the remote PC you want to access !

After you input the user name and password , you can access the remote PC now
